HydTec Sweden AB is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. This policy applies when you visit hydtec.com or hydtec.se, contact us, request a quotation, create or use a customer account, place an order, receive service or subscribe to our communications.

Personal data we process

Depending on how you interact with us, we may process:

• business contact details, such as name, employer, role, address, email address and telephone number;
• account and authentication information, preferences and settings;
• quotation, order, delivery, invoice, payment, return, warranty and service information;
• communications with us and information you choose to provide;
• technical and usage information, such as IP address, device and browser information, cookie identifiers and how the website is used; and
• marketing preferences and newsletter subscription information.

Please do not provide special categories of personal data unless we specifically request them and have a lawful reason to process them.

Where the data comes from

We receive personal data directly from you, from the company or organisation you represent, from your use of our website and customer services, and where relevant from business partners, suppliers, carriers, payment providers and publicly available business sources.

Why we process data and our legal bases

• Enquiries, quotations, orders, accounts, delivery and service: to administer and perform our business relationship. We rely on our legitimate interest in conducting and documenting B2B business and, where the individual is personally party to an agreement, on steps before entering into or performing that agreement.
• Accounting, tax, sanctions and other legal requirements: to comply with legal obligations.
• Security, fraud prevention and troubleshooting: our legitimate interest in protecting our customers, systems and business.
• Website statistics and optional cookies: consent where required. You can change your choices through the cookie settings.
• Newsletters and electronic marketing: consent where required. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the message or by contacting us.
• Relationship management and relevant B2B information: our legitimate interest in maintaining business relationships, subject to your right to object at any time to direct marketing.

Who may receive the data

We disclose personal data only when necessary to operate our business, fulfil an order, provide a requested service or comply with law. Categories of recipients may include providers of e-commerce and web hosting, customer portals and order administration, business systems and cloud services, payment and fraud prevention, analytics and communications, transport and logistics, installation and service, professional advisers, insurers, banks and public authorities. These recipients may act as our processors, as independent controllers or, in limited cases, as joint controllers depending on the service and the applicable law.

We do not sell personal data.

Limited processing for enhanced commerce services

An enhanced commerce feature currently active in our store may cause our commerce platform, Shopify, to combine information about interactions with our store with information from other commerce services in order to improve services, advertising and personalisation. The platform may act as an independent controller for that limited processing. More information and available choices are provided in its consumer privacy information and privacy portal. HydTec remains the controller for HydTec's own processing described in this policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use necessary cookies to operate the website and, where you consent, optional cookies or similar technologies for statistics, functionality and marketing. Your choices can be changed through the cookie settings available on the website. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out before the withdrawal.

International transfers

Some service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use an applicable legal transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where required.

How long we retain data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Enquiry and quotation information is normally retained while the matter is active and for a reasonable follow-up period. Customer, account, order, delivery, warranty and service information is retained for the business relationship and thereafter for applicable warranty, limitation and dispute periods. Accounting records are retained for the period required by law. Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent; we may keep a minimal suppression record to ensure that the opt-out is respected. Technical logs and cookie data are retained according to their function and the information shown in the cookie settings.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You always have the right to object to direct marketing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Automated decisions

HydTec does not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.

Complaints

Please contact us first if you have questions or concerns. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), www.imy.se, or another competent supervisory authority.

We may update this policy when our processing, services or legal obligations change. The current version and update date will always be published on this page.
